Whatever approach you choose for giving, please know that your gift will help sustain the mission of NPC for years to come. If you would like more information or an opportunity to discuss your desire to leave a donation or legacy to NPC, please contact Don Wood.

Donations/Pledges

Each week, there is an opportunity during our worship service to honor God with your financial gift to the church; however, you may also make contributions in other ways. For example, if you are unable to attend church on a regular basis, you may mail a check payable to Navarre Presbyterian Church. You also may set up an automatic payment or manually initiate payments through your bank’s online bill pay service. Your bank will mail your donation to the church.

Planned Giving

There are a number of ways to make a planned gift to NPC including, bequests/wills, life insurance policies, and charitable trusts.

Wills and Bequests

As you make arrangements now for the distribution of your estate after your death, you may wish to consider donating a portion of your estate to the church. Your attorney can include this provision when you prepare or revise your will.

Life Insurance

By designating the church as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy, the church will receive the coverage amount upon the death of the insured. Because the church is the named beneficiary, premium payments are effectively a donation and are likely to be tax deductible. See your tax advisor.

Charitable Trust

This approach allows you to designate the church as a beneficiary of regular payouts from your trust proceeds (for either a fixed dollar amount or a fixed percentage) during your lifetime or for a certain period after your death. Please talk with your financial advisor about this option.

In our society, we often see signs held aloft at sporting events and social happenings reading, John 3:16. Sometimes we quickly recall the actual passage, For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

How often do we really stop and contemplate the full measure of this message? Giving is an act of love. One obvious implication is that our Heavenly Father gifted us beyond measure. When we recall Jesus’ parable of the master who gave each of his servants a number of talents, we are clearly tasked by God to invest and apply the resources and abilities He has given us to generate a return of even greater good. How has God been generous in your life? How have you invested your skills and resources? God’s gift of his son was the gift of forgiveness for our sins. What is our return in support of His will?

One way that we can invest and give back to God is by supporting the works of His church. Through your contributions and gifts, Navarre Presbyterian Church (NPC) is able to provide outreach within the congregation and throughout this community. There are many options for including NPC in your current giving and long-range planning.
